Israel Mifgash - Day 2
One of the unique elements of HiBuR is the immersive cultural experience it offers its students. They get to explore Israel not just as tourists and pilgrims, but as actual Israeli teens, even if just for a short time.
This element is exactly what our first Shabbat was dedicated to – spending quality time with our host families, allowing our students to bond with their Israeli friends, and through that, explore what a real Israeli Shabbat looks like.
We are excited to share with you what they’ve been up to today – in image form – and express our gratitude to our host families in Haifa who planned and organized such memorable adventures for our students.
Today we hung out with Gili and Lily. We did a short hike, walked along the beach and then took the Haifa cable cars back up to the top. I tried shawarma for the first time today and it was so good!

Today was cool because we got to go around Haifa as if we were a teenager who lived here. I liked walking around near the beach and the city!
